Problems with screen resolution after login

Hi,
I installed Vista Beta 2 yesterday but keep having problems with the screen resolution on startup. The settings i have when i shut down Vista doesn't seem to stick.
When im at the loginprompt I have a screen resolution of 1280*720 (which is what i want) but after a sucessfull login the resolution changes to 1280*1024 with a refresh rate of 85 hz. That would have been nice, as long as both my displays could handle that resolution.
My computer is an HTPC connected to a 26" LCD-TV (native resolution of 1280*768) and a front projector (native resolution of 1280*720) and the problem is that my LCD-TV cand handle the increased resolution after login.
Ive tried to install the ATI-drivers with the Catalyst control center but that hasn't solved the login/startup problem.
Has anyone seen these problems previosly? Is there a magic setting to find somewhere deep down in Vista that could solve this problem?
Best regards /Martin Roth

Hi,
Thanks
for your reply but its still not clear to me. After login I'm getting a resolution of 1280*1024 at 85hz which isn't native resolution for any of the two displays. My projector can handle the resolution though but not my LCD-TV.
What i want is for the HTPC to output 1280*720 at 60hz after login. Shouldn't be to much to ask for i think :)
Bus as i said, im still not clear to how i answered my question. Please clearify this :)
Regardning the multiple posts the explanation is simple: I got an error when posting and therefor i tried again. Thought I had experienced some kind of timeout and that the posting was unsuccessful.

I was having a similar problem with my GeForce4. I disabled all the nVidia utilities from starting up using Windows Defender, which sorted it.
